Our History
On November 8, 2022, tragedy struck our family with the death of our son Westyn Bryan Mandrell, 18 months old. Our son, Westyn, choked on a sliver of fruit. Never did we realize that choking of an infant is the 4th leading cause of death in children nor did we realize that it can possibly be avoided with the use of an anti-choking device.
Our Mission
The mission of the Westyn Mandrell Foundation is to bring awareness about an anti-choking device and how it has saved the lives of so many adults and children. The lack of information about this Life-Vac anti choking device could have changed the events that directly impacted our family's life. Bringing awareness and education about this anti-choking device will save lives and help fund our non-profit foundation. Thus, giving us the ability to provide devices to those in need and preventing future choking deaths.
